Hopsin (Knock Madness) - Review

Hopsin is a rap artist that I have been listening to for about two years now. I don't usually download albums but because I like the artist I decided that I would download his most recent album (Knock Madness). The album consists of 18 songs which last a total duration of 75 minutes.

I thought that the album was not his best work, there was a few songs that I enjoyed but when I was listening through the full album; I noticed that I lost track of which song I was listening to because I lost all interest in the music. It seemed that the artist was trying too hard because Hopsin has been receiving a lot of criticism in the American media during the period after his album prior to this was released (Raw).

I was disappointed in this album and would rate it a 5/10 and that is only because there is a small selection of songs from this album that I actually liked. Hopsin has always tried to give a unique dynamic to his music to distance himself from stereotypes that surround the rap genre, however I think that he has tried too hard in this album and it has led to his music being boring and repetitive.
